Challenge:
Nokaoi Maui Magazine is illustrated quarterly magazine about life on Maui Island, Hawaii. No ka ‘oi means “the best” on Hawaiian. Maui No Ka ‘Oi is the magazine for people who love Maui. The information aspects covered are Restaurants, Events, News, Culture, Vacation Planning.
Solution:
We created extremely new and usable web 2.0 solution. The magazine contains 100s of articles and of 1000s photos - everything is easily edited with editorial staff. But readers also involved in content authoring: all stories, restaurants and even whole magazine issues are ratable by readers, they can write comments and post replies.
Special mark-up pseudo-tags make possible authors to divide stories by pages, insert advertisements and photos.
Website allows subscribing to offline magazine version with secure payment solution. Effective CMS provided helps to control all magazine workflow: from stories authoring to publishing, from advertisement control to subscribers monitoring.
